These cards are a humorous approach to the word “jawn”. I am from Texas and have never heard the word before, and when tasked to create cards that represent Philadelphia this just felt like the truest approach to the prompt. I understand “jawn” and a replacement for a person, place, or thing, therefore congrats on you “jawn” represents a milestone in one’s life that is celebrated. In this case, the cards are for an engagement or wedding, a new baby, or congratulations on a home.

I was heavily inspired by Occassinette’s mission of celebrating life and decided to design around that. I chose three occasions that someone may celebrate: a new wedding or proposal, a new home, and a child.

One of the most exciting parts about this project was that Sara chose a handful of her favorite projects to sell in her store! This allowed me to dive deeper into product production and packaging, selling wholesale, how to write an invoice, and much more.
